Ready2Teach is designed for college-bound students who have completed their junior or senior year by June 2018. This program especially seeks future teachers interested in teaching in critical shortage subjects such as Art, Computer Science, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and Special Education. Rising juniors with exceptional academic standing will be considered as well. Students from diverse backgrounds as well as males are particularly encouraged to apply. During the summer institute, students collaborate with teacher education majors, public school teachers and university faculty as they develop teaching skills and build an appreciation for the field of education. Additionally, information about scholarships, grants and student loan forgiveness will be disseminated.
The deadline to register is May 25, 2018

The hospital has once again volunteered to provide any students who are considering playing in a school sport a physical, which is required to participate in any sport. This clinic will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at BHS. ALL STUDENTS who plan on participating in any athletic program 7th-12th grade will need to pick up a form from their coach or office. These forms must be filled out completely and returned no later than May 16, 2018 to their coach or to the office. A student cannot receive a physical without this form signed under any circumstance. Permission by phone will not be allowed! A new physical is required every year, so we highly recommend getting this free physical provided by our very own hospital! Thank you to GRMC!
