Alumni from classes 1965-1978 came through on a tour of BHS this afternoon as part of their EPIC reunion. They all agreed, "if these walls could talk," they would have plenty to say!







Officials from the Blytheville Chamber of Commerce, Blytheville School District and Baldwin-Shell Construction on July 13 gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at Haley Field.

Early voting for the Blytheville School District's millage election continues through June 12, each day from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The funds would provide teacher raises and enhanced athletic facilities.

Just a reminder that early voting for the teacher raise and athletic facilities started yesterday. They'll be open from 9-4:30 all week at the Election Center.

Blytheville Primary School went into lockdown this morning in response to a domestic disturbance that was contained in the parking lot. 911 was called, Blytheville Police Department promptly responded, all students and faculty are safe. There was no shooting. The lockdown was over promptly and a normal school day resumed.

The No. 8 seed Blytheville Chickasaws (2-13, 6-15, 0-1) were eliminated on April 29 by No. 1 Greene County Tech 10-0 in five innings in the AAAAA-East Tournament at the Baseball-Softball Complex.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-1) lost to Greene County Tech 15-0 in three innings in the opening round of the AAAAA-East Tournament on April 29 at the Baseball-Softball Complex.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (2-13, 6-15) swept Forrest City 16-5 and then 10-0 in their last conference games of the season on April 25 at the Baseball-Softball Complex.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (2-12, 6-16) had a terrible first innings on April 24 against Manila, then played great the rest of the way in losing to the Lady Lions 10-5 at the Sportsplex.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-13, 4-15) completely manhandled Southland 17-0 on April 20 at the Baseball/Softball Complex in their last nonconference game of the season.

The Blytheville Chickasaws (0-13, 3-15) came up just short in their AAAAA-East efforts at Paragould on April 19, falling to the Rams 8-7.

ACT-Prep CPAD Information Night for Blytheville High School ninth grade students and their parents will be April 19 at the BHS library at 5:30 p.m.


The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (2-12, 5-15) were defeated 16-0 in five innings on April 18 at the Baseball-Softball Complex, and the JV Chickasaws lost 6-1.
