The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws (1-1) outlasted West Memphis West 14-8 on Sept. 6 at West Memphis.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws volleyball team (0-6) on Sept. 6 lost at Highland 11-25, 18-25, 13-25 in AAAA/AAA Conference activity, and the “B” Lady Chickasaws (0-6) were also defeated by Highland 8-25.

The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-6) dropped two AAAA/AAA Conference volleyball matches Sept. 6 at Highland 15-25, 18-25, and the Blytheville Middle School 7th grade Junior Lady Chickasaws split their two games, losing 18-25 before winning 15-10.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws volleyball team (0-5) on Sept. 4 dropped 6-25, 9-25, 3-25 outings to Batesville in the AAAA-AAA Conference at the Auxiliary Gym, and the JV Lady Chickasaws (0-5) lost to the “B” Lady Pioneers 2-25.

The Blytheville High School Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-5) on Sept. 4 lost to Batesville 3-25, 4-25 at the Auxiliary Gym, and the JV Junior Lady Chickasaws were denied 7-25. The Blytheville Middle School seventh grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-5) were also beaten 11-25, 6-15.

The Blytheville Middle School eighth grade Junior Chickasaws on Sept. 4 clobbered Marion Blue 38-8 at Haley Field in their first game of the season.

Blytheville Schools will be closed Monday, September 3rd in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Stay safe and have a nice break!

The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws took one on the chin in their Aug. 30 season opener at Haley Field, losing to Osceola 32-6.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws volleyball team (0-4) fell at Wynne 7-25, 4-25, 11-25 in AAAA/AAA action Aug. 30, and the “B” Lady Chickasaws (0-4) lost 5-25. The 9th grade Jr. Lady Chickasaws (0-4) were defeated by Wynne 10-25, 7-25, and the JV Jr. Lady Chicks fell 9-25, 7-25.

Our first regular season Varsity football game is tomorrow night! It's going to be a black-out on our side of the stands, so everyone wear black to cheer on our Chickasaws! See you tomorrow at 7 for kickoff!

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws (0-3) on Aug. 28 were denied by Jonesboro Westside 6-25, 12-25, 6-25 in their AAAA/AAA home opener at the Auxiliary Gym. The “B” Lady Chickasaws (0-3) were beaten by Westside 8-25, and the ninth grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-3) lost 3-25, 5-25.

Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the school year. Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school. #attendancematters

The Blytheville junior varsity Chickasaws defeated Greene County Tech 16-7 on Aug. 27 at Haley Field.

The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-2) were defeated at Pocahontas 6-25, 11-25 on Aug. 27 in AAAA/AAA Conference play, and the “B” Junior Lady Chickasaws (0-2) lost 9-25. The Blytheville Middle School seventh-graders (0-2) also lost 15-25, 16-18.

The Blytheville Lady Chickasaws volleyball team (0-2) on Aug. 27 was defeated at Pocahontas 8-25, 9-25, 7-25 in AAAA/AAA Conference activity, and the junior varsity Lady Chickasaws (0-2) absorbed a 2-25 setback to the “B” Lady Redskins.

Due to HVAC issues at our admin building, the Title I Report to the public and tonight's school board meeting will be moved to the South Cafeteria at BHS at 5:00 and 6:00, respectively.

The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Chickasaws edged Jonesboro Annie Camp 8-6 in a preseason jamboree to benefit the Arkansas Activities Association catastrophic injury insurance. The 8th grade Junior Chickasaws also won 6-0.
