Congratulating Mrs. Nikki Glass on passing the Foundations of Reading Assessment. Her success has led to her becoming licensed in Special Education Resource-English Language Arts and Special Education Resource Elementary. Mrs. Glass's dedication, love, and care for her students exemplify the heart and devotion required to be an exceptional special education teacher.


It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved tribe member Ms. Shaneakya Pugh-Riggins. Please continue to pray for the family and friends of Ms. Riggins. Her beautiful smile and love for all will be missed daily at BES and in the Blytheville School District.

Congratulations to Teachers of the Year for Blytheville School District. Blytheville Primary- Latoria Aldridge, Blytheville Elementary- Lekeysha Buckley, Blytheville Middle- Rosetta Kelly, and Blytheville High- Amanda Haynes. Lekeysha Buckley was recognized at the Mississippi County Regional Chamber of Commerce Banquet as the Blytheville School District Teacher of the Year. We are so proud of their dedication to our district.






Blytheville Odyssey of the Mind teams competed in Regional competition Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Division I- Elementary with Emma Salazar, Bentleigh Swafford, Karson Johnson, Micah Haley, Da’Shawn Jones, Mase Rand, and Makayla Kennedy coached by Curtis Walker Sr. won first place in Problem 4- Structure holding 930 pounds.
Division II-Middle School with, Olivia Burks, Alexa Cole, Edjavious McKillion, Nasir Pippin, McKinley Walker, Paicyn Pankey and Cheyenna Nealey- coached by Curtis Walker Jr. won first place with structure holding 575 pounds.
Division III- High School with Gatsby Langston, Shamari Cooper, Marley Rand, Ryley Walker, Salena Salazar, and Christopher Logan coached by Chanda Walker and Ashley Whitley won 1st place with structure holding 670 pounds.
All three teams will advance to State competition on April 13, 2024 in Conway, Arkansas.


Parents and staff, this is a reminder that the BHS and Jr. Girls basketball teams will play Forrest City tonight at 5:00 PM in the Chickasaw Arena. We hope to see you there!

Due to inclement weather, the Blytheville School Board Meeting scheduled for tonight, January 18th, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 6 p.m.

This week, BES will be conducting ATLAS Science Interims. it is vital that your student gets enough rest and has a good breakfast each day. Fifth grade will test on Tuesday, November 7. Third grade will test on Wednesday, November 8. Fourth grade will test on Thursday, November 9. Please make sure student are arriving on time each day.

Join us on Main Street for a spooky good time this evening from 4:00-6:00 PM. Blytheville School District will be passing out candy along with other businesses and organizations. We look forward to seeing your family there!


The Blytheville School District is in need of four retired teachers to work with the scholars at the Primary and Elementary schools in Math and Literacy.
The teachers are needed three days per week and two hours on each day. Interested candidates can contact Dr. Malcolm Jones at majones@blythevilleschools.net.


BES students and staff started the week off celebrating "Red Ribbon Week" by dressing in red to honor Drug Free Awareness. Red Ribbon week is Oct. 23-27.
