We want to address a very important matter which is being shared on social media. On August 20, an Arkansas school district posted information they received from the FBI office located in Little Rock related to a possible school shooting in Arkansas (August 29th) and Kentucky (August 28th). The FBI could not confirm the source of the reporting party. Although we are not aware of any threats to our county or city, Blytheville Public Schools is working closely with federal, state and local law enforcement about this matter. School Resource Officers and Blytheville Schools Commissioned Security Officers are present at every campus in order to protect students and faculty. We will take all steps necessary to protect our children.
