Rules and Procedures for Attending Homework Helpline

1. Students must enter/exit the building through the entrance by the library. All other doors are locked and alarmed.

2. Students must sign in/out with Ms. Orissa Williams or Mr. Brandon.

4. No talking is permitted while students are testing.

5. Students must have enough school work to occupy them the entire time they are at Homework Helpline. They are NOT required to stay until 5:30 pm.

6. Cell phones should be on silent. If a parent calls, students are expected to step into the hallway to take a call. Texting is not permitted.

7. Students who are testing must sit where directed and remain seated the entire time.

8. While dress code is not enforced, certain items are NOT acceptable: pajamas, shorts, house shoes, tank tops, etc. Students wearing unacceptable items will not be allowed to sign in.

9. Students should arrange for a ride home prior to coming to  Homework Helpline. Homework Helpline ends at precisely 5:30 pm.

10. Students should remain in the library the whole time—no roaming the building. Once students sign out, they must exit the building immediately.  Students caught roaming the halls will receive an automatic 30 minute after school detention (per Ms. Blankenship).

11. Tests will not be administered to students who arrive after 4:45 pm, as this does not give them adequate time to finish before 5:30 pm

12. Unless otherwise instructed by the teacher, students have only 46 minutes, the length of one regular class period, to take an exam.
