Regarding the Feb. 11 basketball game between Blytheville and Brookland and the incidents that occurred with some Brookland students and our school cheerleaders, Supt. Bobby Ashley has been in contact with the superintendent from the Brookland School District to share his concerns about the incident. The Brookland Director of Security has been reviewing video from the incident and is getting with both the Junior High and Senior High principals to identify students and discipline accordingly. The school superintendent has apologized for the incident and assured us that the incident does not represent the school nor the community.
