Our Goal:
The Blytheville School District Parent Center's goal is to strengthen the partnership between school, home and the community to enable our children to reach their full potential.
Our Mission:
To provide district patrons with information, resources, and support as they guide their children and families toward success.
Our Services
The Blytheville School District Parent Center provides:
-A resource center for parent to access information and materials to assist their children in learning.
-Pamphlets on Social Skills, Parenting Skills, Student Learning Skills,
Self control, Creating Successful Learners
-Supplies for school projects
-Learning Games
-A lending library to check out books and materials on parenting and strengthening families.
-Learning backpacks with games and books
-Student library books
-Parenting Books:
Such as: Help Your Child Read, How to Help Your Child with Homework
Assertive Discipline, Games for Learning
-Learning videos
Such as: Magic School Bus Adventures, All About Space
Washington Monuments, High-Risk Youth, Why We Tell the Truth
-A technology lab to learn computer skills, educational software and access to the Home Access Center Grade Viewer for student grades.
Parent Facilitators:
Each school has a “Parent Resource Center” in the media center, or near the main office of the school. Free materials such as books, pamphlets, magazines, etc. are available for parents and guardians. The Parent Facilitator at each school is committed to working with administrators, teachers, PTO, and parents to ensure that parental participation is recognized as an asset. They will work to increase communication, provide workshops, and promote a welcoming atmosphere that fosters parental involvement.
