Our first quarter community service project is our very own backpack program. We are sending a list of needed items home with the children today. Items like poptarts, breakfast bars, can soup, tuna/chicken in cans or pouches, easy mac, pudding, etc are on the list. We will gladly accept community donations as well!

To say that our students and staff had a blast at the pep assembly on Friday would be an understatement! The Chickasaw marching band filled the Multipurpose Building with our fight songs while our cheerleaders and Chief brought a contagious spirit that was shared with all in the house. Our football players were poised, respectful, and so kind to our kids! Primary LOVES our Chickasaws! We appreciate all who made this event possible! Great win lastnight, Chicks! Our Tenaris Afterschool Program is registering students in Kindergarten-5th grade.The program starts Tuesday, September 5th. It is housed at Blytheville Primary School and runs Monday-Thursday until 5:30pm. The students are provided a snack and time to complete homework. They work on literacy, math, and science as well. Transportation is provided if needed. If you are interested you may pick up an application at your child's school.
Tenaris Academic Excellence Summer Program is now registering students for the June 19-July 27 session. The program will run Monday thru Thursday from 8am-11:30am. Free transportation! Register before Wednesday, May 17th to guarantee a spot!

Mr. Joe Johnson, former Blytheville High School teacher and Air Force veteran, visited Ms. Newsom's class this week. He told the students what it was like to be a pilot and fly around the world. He also discussed different celebrations from around the world. Ms. Newsom said that when her students see an airplane in the sky, they all think it is Mr. Joe!
