Tailgating activities established for Oct. 14 homecoming game

The Blytheville Chickasaws will entertain the Valley View Blazers for homecoming on Oct. 14, and Blytheville School District director of safety and security Brandon Harper, after consulting with athletics director David Hixson and Blytheville Middle School assistant principal Louise Davis, has determined the tailgating activities for the game:

Persons interested in tailgating may begin marking (chalk, small stakes, etc.) where they want to set up, on the grassy area between BMS and Sixth Street (grassy area only, not the parking lot or any area with concrete). No tents, barbecue grills or other items may be placed until after 4 p.m.

Tailgating activities (set up of tents, barbecue grills, etc.) may begin at 4 p.m., within the grassy area between the BMS main building and Sixth Street, the sidewalk and under the awnings (walkways).

Tailgating activities will not be permitted in the parking lot.

Parking spaces will be available in the main parking lot (Sixth Street entrance).

Overflow parking will be available in the parking lots located around the BHS boys gym.

Restroom facilities will be available to tailgating participants (entrance/exit located on the east side of the BMS main building) until 6:30 p.m.

The Blazers-Chickasaws football game begins at 7 p.m.
