The Blytheville High School ninth grade Junior Lady Chickasaws wound up fourth in a track meet at Marion on April 5 with 65 points. Nettleton won the meet and Jonesboro MacArthur finished runner-up.

Laurissa Campbell earned first place in the individual events with a throw of 75 feet in the discus throw, and Alindavia Lockett was first in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 8 inches. She was also third in the 100-meter hurdles and in the triple-jump with 29 feet, 3 inches. Terrica Dillard took third in the 100-meter hurdles and was fifth in the triple-jump at 27 feet, 2 inches. Dillard was seventh in the 400 meters, and Staneisha Faulkner accounted for seventh in the shot put.

Blytheville's 1600-meter relay team also finished seventh.
